Weddings can happen after a couple has been dating for either weeks or months or years, sometimes even 10-15 years together. As a non-denominational minister and professional wedding officiant, I'm lucky enough to manage the wedding ceremony for couples of all sorts. This wedding was for an older pair who had been together for over a decade, and they finally decided to make it official. So family from both sides huddled together in the front room with a makeshift aisle and agreed to honor and protect each other through thick and thin, one of the sweetest and most heartfelt wedding ceremonies I'd overseen in a long time, proving that love can do it no matter what the age.
