Not all wedding ceremonies are in grand reception halls with hundreds of guests. In fact, some of the best weddings I've officiated have been in backyards with Bride, Groom, and a couple family members. And that was this one. The couple contacted me at noon, by 3:00 I was in their backyard officiating their wedding, with parents in tow. And as a non-denominational minister, that's how it goes sometimes for me...I'm either called in from the bullpen, officiating on short notice, or prepping for months in advance, every couple is unique. Love this gig.
