Bullpen Wedding Officiant

Sometimes things don't work out the way you planned, and if that happens on your wedding day? Talk about a heart-sinking moment. As a non-denominational minister and professional wedding officiant, sometimes I'm called in from the bullpen to spell another wedding officiant who can no longer fulfill their commitment. That's what happened this week. I got a call with some urgency that this cute couple in from out-of-town was having an elopement in Summit County, and their wedding officiant became unavailable (details undisclosed). So the wedding planner coordinated the details with me, I met the wedding party at a beautiful ranch near Coalville, Utah, and we had a quick, heartfelt wedding ceremony under overcast skies with a string quartet providing music, a humble father giving his daughter away, and a very emotional bride and groom committing their lives together. Whenever I'm asked to serve as a couple's wedding officiant, I'm honored and humbled, and that happens even when I'm called in from the bullpen last minute.
