Elopements aren't always unplanned or destination or courthouse weddings. The wedding ceremony I officiated this morning, for example, took place on the grassy knoll outside of this cute couple's apartment building. And that's how it works for a non-denominational minister, sometimes it's crazy formal, other times it's really informal. In all cases though, the job of the officiant is to remind the couple of why they fell in love and what they can look forward together. I love this gig.
