No matter where or when or how, if people are committed to their love and have the support, an elopement wedding ceremony can happen. As a non-denominational minister and professional wedding officiant, I'm there even for these ones. Even when I should probably be officiating in Spanish (did my best with no heads up). Even in a tiny front room in a home in a mobile park, the wedding ceremony still measures up. Commitments are still real. I'd officiate that wedding as enthusiastically as I would the full wedding ceremony at a castle or reception center or church, and it would be just as powerful. We had a crying groom tonight, and I love the crying groom. Love is the best!
