I love unity ceremonies, they really add a nice feature to the wedding ceremony, and have an effect on couples that's beautiful to see. The candle ceremony specifically has some nice imagery of combining two flames into one, never to be separated. As a non-denominational minister, of course, these sorts of ceremonies are always an option for couples, and I'm experienced in incorporating all of them into a wedding ceremony. Whether it's sand or glass or wine or candles (fire), the combining of elements to represent the combining of two lives is a beautiful thing. (I know we're in a drought, I was careful at this wedding to be sure the flame was put out responsibly, ha.)
