As a non-denominational minister, one of my value-adds is that I video the ceremony and provide the recording to the couple after the wedding is over. We are able to grab some still shots and photos from the recording that are nice and memorable and sweet, but nothing really replaces the creativity and professionalism of a photographer. As is true of the difference between a justice of the peace assigned by the County and an experienced minister like me, there is a difference between photos and video taken on a phone and those captured by a professionalism. More true for weddings than anywhere else, you get what you pay for.
